About one in every five Americans now has one or more autoimmune conditions. An autoimmune disease is a condition where the body produces too many antibodies against its own cells. It is a large category of about 160 known conditions, a number which increases each year. Eventually we will identify an autoimmune condition for every type of cell in the body.

The United States is the world epicenter of autoimmunity, with more than double the incidence per capita, for two primary reasons which this course will explain.

Modern conventional medicine, as is often the case, treats the symptoms with powerful drugs, while largely ignoring the known causes. Millions of people worldwide suffer from this type of disorder, with no lasting or safe solution.
